Clarissa has had over 25 years' publishing experience, and as well as running GGBP is a Priest, serving as Curate of Coleford with Holcombe. She was ordained Priest on 30th June 2007. As well as reading theology, she reads and collects a number of children's authors, some of which are published by GGBP. Favourites include Dorita Fairlie Bruce, Elinor Brent-Dyer, Richmal Crompton, Monica Edwards, Lorna Hill, W E Johns, Elsie Oxenham and Noel Streatfeild. Clarissa is responsible for the overall production of the GGBP books, and looks after typesetters, proof readers and dealers, as well as liaising with our printers and answering e-mails, putting together catalogues and news sheets, and supplying information to Gareth to update the website. |

Ann is a former teacher and, in addition to running GGBP, is a very active member of her local church and is a keen gardener and good cook. Her great love is reading fantasy and regency romances but favourite children's authors whom she reads and collects include Dorita Fairlie Bruce, Elinor Brent-Dyer, Gwendoline Courtney, L M Montgomery, Elsie Oxenham and J K Rowling. She is also very interested in collecting Girls Own Papers and books with attractive dustwrappers. Ann is responsible for all the GGBP orders (except those from dealers) which includes putting all forward orders onto databases, and dispatching all titles from stock, as well as answering all snail-mail, liaising with our book keeper and distribution manager, ordering stationery and stamps (we get through a huge amount!). |
