Guiding was an integral part of the Chalet School for many years and in the centenary year we feel it fitting to publish The Chalet Girls in Camp.
This is the story of the first CS Guide Camp in the Tyrol where Elisaveta comes to join the Guides in Camp. Elinor shows her knowledge of Guiding, but also of schoolgirls and in Camp contains some of the Chalet School's best known, and funniest, episodes.
Ruth Jolly is writing an introduction about Guide camps, then and now. The book has four black and white plates by Nina K Brisley.
