It is a year since the founding of the Chalet School on the shores of the Tiern See in the beautiful Austrian Tyrol, and the girls are eagerly anticipating the new term.
At their request, a Guide Company is to be formed, and already the excitement is mounting. Soon the girls are immersed in Tenderfoot tests and badgework, and sampling the delights of tracking and camp fires. But when their enthusiasm for their new interest threatens to become all-consuming, trouble ensues!
With a folk festival to plan for and exams to consider, plus the usual allowance of triumphs and disasters, the pupils of the Chalet School have plenty to keep them occupied and a variety of lessons to learn.
The Guides of the Chalet School will be published in late November 2009 and is Price Band A. The cover is not designed yet.
