Colmskirk, a fictionalised Largs, is a enchanting Scottish town in a superb location, worthy of the endearing characters whom we come to meet in this series of four books.
The Serendipity Shop is inherited by the enterprising heroines Merran and Julia Lendrum and is described by Julia as “a shop of all sorts”.
The book describes their efforts to make a success of the shop and the many friends whom they encounter along the way.
Chris Keyes is writing an introduction on the location which she knows well, Sheila Ray has written a very clear introduction on the series as a whole.
