Who can resist the call of  hidden treasure? Not the Jillies! Mandy found a holiday job at Ambemere, a beautiful and historic old country house, and the others were co-opted soon afterwards as part of Mandy’s plan to open the place to visitors. The owners, the Miss Ansteys, elderly and badly off, told them the story of the lost Ambermere Treasure. The Jillies searched, and of all things, it was a dictionary which set them on the right track at last. This final Jillies story is the most thrilling of all.

   The book is illustrated by Marcia Lane Foster.
