Reviews for Volume One

Kit Kidman: Just to CONGRATULATE you, the writers and your veritable army of assistants, for Volume 1 of the Encyclopaedia of Girls’ School Stories. A superb achievement in all respects. An obvious labour of love told with great sympathy and a delightful peppery humour (I laughed like a drain at several points). I’m not myself particularly interested in girls’ school stories as such, having only read Enid Blyton’s contribution to the genre plus a single Chalet School title, but this offers so much more over and above its main subject. I’ve been GLUED to it, positively DEVOURED it, and can only be glad that there are a whole two more volumes to come!

Frances Lamb: I would also like to add my voice to those praising your Encyclopaedia of School Stories. I am lucky enough to have the original edition but yours is so much better. I am very impressed.
