It’s the beginning of the summer term at the Chalet School and the girls of Inter V are looking forward to a last term of fun before going into Vb and becoming ‘proper’ Seniors with all the responsibilities that entails, never to mention exams!
Whilst some of Inter V are ready to move on, others—notably Jack Lambert—dread the changes ahead. In addition to the prospect of having to grow up, there’s also the imminent departure of Len Maynard, the Head Girl, who has been Jack’s mentor for five years.
But this last term for Len and her sisters proves to be as busy as any other term at the Chalet School. Power cuts, feuding Middles, a near-tragedy on Lake Thun, an avalanche and a terrifying riot on the Platz force Jack, Flavia, Wanda, and their friends into undertaking responsibility, whether they like it or not. It’s up to them to prove to themselves and everyone else that they have what it takes to become proper Seniors of the Chalet School.

   Seniors of the Chalet School is set during the same term as Althea and Prefects.
