ME PF/RM5 The White Riders by Monica Edwards

£13.00

We first published The White Riders in 2016, and are reprinting it now by popular demand.

The White Riders is the fourth Romney Marsh story. Tamzin and Rissa are keeping house at Castle Farm in Mrs Merrow’s absence. To Tamzin’s horror, a property developer wants to turn the farm and the surrounding Marsh into a holiday camp. The four, and Mike from the farm, try to frighten the superstitious man away by recreating the ghostly White Riders from the past. It is a close and perilous fight.

For this new edition, we have included a fascinating introduction by Robert Mason on his correspondence with Monica Edwards in the mid-1960s about the banshee wailer which Mike Merrow produced to be used by Tamzin and Co as The White Riders. This includes photographs of several letters from Monica Edwards to Robert.

We have also included the very interesting Publishing History by the late John Allsup, as well as a short story by Monica Edwards, The Telegram.

The White Riders was published on 4 March 2024.
