The Master of Maryknoll

 In 2025, GGBP began publishing the Buckinghams series with the 6th and final title, Diamond in the Sky. It now seems sensible to go back to the beginning of the series and publish the first title, The Master of Maryknoll. 

   The book is set in the familiar Maclolm Saville territory of Shropshire. With his father having disappeared during the War, Charles and his mother are living at her brother’s house, but when she goes to Switzerland his cousins start to bully him and so Charles runs away. He encounters Juliet and Simon Buckingham and they arrange to meet in Ludlow where the adventures start. The story involves the theft of Charles’ violin and there are two splendid villains – Septimus Bland and Foxy Simmonds. You might need to have a few tissues handy for the heart-warming ending.
